Emma Ladji uses electronic music to engage in a sensual and poetic relationship with nature. She often uses scientific research and new technologies as a foundation for these inclinations.
Emma has been an artist in residence at Links Hall in Chicago and presented work at the New Now Festival in Amsterdam. As a performer, she has worked with The Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Writers Theater, and Goodman Theater to name a few. In October of 2021, she was in Tuscany researching gardening while also experimenting with a plant midi instrument that transforms the electrical activity found in plants into sound waves. Her first EP, Seed released early 2022.
