Teacher Resources

Ragdale artists serve as valuable resources for educators and may supplement school curricula in many ways. Through school visits, on-campus field trips, or remote and online learning, artists can actively engage and share their work with students. This page provides a guide for educators and anyone else interested in accessing the multitude of resources Ragdale artists provide.

Please reach out to Regin Igloria, Artistic Director, for more information.

+ What to Expect & How to Prepare

Teachers, faculty, and educators who are interested in having visiting artists present at their schools or host a studio visit for students at Ragdale should review the profiles of Ragdale in Schools (RYE) Fellows. Here you’ll learn more about their practice, determine availability, match the appropriate age group, and consider types of programs the artist can offer.

Once these are taken into account, Ragdale will work closely with both the artist and the school contact to finalize details of the program. Preview available Fellows by clicking the Current RYE Fellows Profiles button below.

+ Educators Guides

Teachers and students may refer to the Ragdale Youth Engagement (RYE) Fellows’ Educator Guides to accompany their studies on the work of each RYE Fellow. Within these documents, you will find links to websites, videos, and other resources that pertain to the works. Use the provided questions as prompts for discussion, encourage each other to explore new ideas, and find ways to create your own works of art.

Each Ragdale Youth Engagement Fellow will have a PDF link to a viewable and printable Educator Guide on their profile page. You may also click directly on the links below to access RYE Fellows' Educators Guides:

+ Artist/Program Evaluation Form

The following links are for use by students, teacher partners, and Ragdale Youth Engagement Fellows who have participated in Ragdale Youth Engagement Programs. Ragdale relies on the feedback and evaluations of all participants to offer the best possible programming for future programs.

If you have taken part in any of the Ragdale Youth Engagement Programs, you will be instructed by your instructor or Ragdale administrator to send feedback about the Ragdale Youth Engagement experience. Let us know what you thought of the program, what kind of artists you’d like to meet, what kinds of workshops you’d like to take in the future, and other ideas to make our school programs better.
