Sculpture/Installation

I create as a form of expression, and I consider my work an extension of my heart and mind. With every creation comes a memorable experience: Learning about the craft and oneself, moments of success and failure, conversation, new perspectives, passion, laughter, community, and friendship. As a young artist, I aspire to balance my love for making with my joy for helping others and the earth. I studied fine woodworking and furniture design at the Vermont Woodworking School and am now pursuing a degree at Vermont State in Johnson, dual majoring in education and fine arts.

Using wood is collaborative, like having a partner in the process. Each piece of wood has a backstory, the grain and color give it its unique look and beauty, it fights back, and if you listen it speaks. It’s an honor to be part of giving new life to a tree, that feeling brings happiness to my own life as well.

It’s been an absolute pleasure to be here at Ragdale and I’m thankful for the people who helped me get to where I am, every single person I’ve met in this process, and for those supporting my future. <3
