Rina AC Dweck is a sculpture artist born and raised in southern Brooklyn, NYC. Her aesthetic draws from the things she has always been surrounded by in her urban, Jewish, Middle Eastern community, most predominantly, opulence, excess, and display. Rina received the Paula Rhodes award upon her graduation from The School of Visual Arts MFA Fine Arts program in 2018. She earned her BS in Studio Art from New York University in 1998. In 2019 she was awarded the ChaNorth 2018 Alumni solo show. She has exhibited work in numerous group exhibitions including The Emily Davis Gallery at The University of Akron, Collar Works, Microscope Gallery, 4Heads Governors Island Art Fair, and Paradice Palase. Rina has been an artist in residence at several institutions including Mass MoCA, Millay Colony, and Vermont Studio Center. She is thrilled to finally be in residence at Ragdale after a long pandemic delay. She is also a founding member of The Rule of 3, a collective that focuses on materiality and the feminine. Their most recent project, The Fridge Show, was shown at Garrison Arts Center in the summer 2021.
