Preeti Vangani is an Indian poet & writer based in San Francisco. She is the author of Mother Tongue Apologize (2019), winner of the RLFPA Poetry Prize. Her poems appear/are forthcoming in Poem-a-Day, Threepenny Review, Gulf Coast, Slowdown podcast among several other places. Her debut short story won the 2021 Pen/Dau Emerging Writers Prize. She currently teaches at University of San Francisco's MFA (Writing) program.
