I am not what happened to me. I am every kindness, all the love, and every miracle that came after. I say this as a reminder and mantra for those of us who have been wronged. If I can be comfortable in my skin, maybe you can be comfortable in yours. I promise to tell my story until my throat is raw, until my voice becomes fire, until my fiery voice melts my fear, until I am unable to make sound. May I never stop, may I never be afraid to tell my story or raise my voice ever again.
