Cassidy McFadzean holds an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers' Workshop and an MFA in fiction from Brooklyn College, where she was fiction editor of The Brooklyn Review. She is the award-winning author of three books of poetry, most recently Crying Dress (House of Anansi 2024). Her poems have appeared in magazines across Canada and the US, and her fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Joyland, CALYX, The Conium Review, Best Canadian Stories, and Slate’s Future Tense Fiction series. She was a finalist for American Short Fiction’s 2023 Halifax Ranch Prize. She lives in Toronto.
