Sharon Mashihi graduated from film program at NYU’s Tisch School of the arts as well as from the radio program at The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. Early in her career, Sharon worked as an assistant director and video editor for the dance company Tamar Rogoff Performance Projects. She went on to teach filmmaking in high schools all around New York City. Now, she works as an audio documentary producer. She is the senior producer of the serialized crime series Stranglers, as well as the editorial advisor for the Radiotopia podcast, The Heart.
When Sharon isn’t making radio, she makes movies and performances, and serves on the board of The School of Making Thinking. Sharon’s performances and installations have been featured at The Painting Center, The Wassaic Project, Essex Flowers, Vox Populi, The Hearsay Festival in Ireland, and Moogfest. Sharon is co-writer of the feature film, The Ticket, which premiered in competition at The Tribeca Film Festival this spring, and will be released in theaters this April.
