After 18 years of service at Post Canada, Serge Marchetta quits in 1993 and starts a new career as an art visual artist. Graduate from Université du Québec à Montréal in 1995, Marchetta has participated over than forty solo and group exhibitions at Montreal, someplace else in the Province of Québec, Europe and United States. He participated to many residencies in Europe and United States. He is also a grant holder from the Fondation Ténot, France and Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec.
In parallel with his individual practice, he has started, a few years ago, to work in collaboration with Masha Ryskin an artist living in United States. A first series of drawings have been presented in Providence RI, United States at the Bell Center Gallery, Brown University in 2011. They have had a duo exhibition in Montreal in 2013, Norway in 2014 and an upcoming exhibition at the Maitland Art and History Museum in Florida in 2017.
