MaryAnn Miller, MFA, MEd is a printmaker, book artist, and poet. Her work is about the rudiments of human existence, our biological identities, who we are genetically and culturally. She has been the Resident Book Artist at the Experimental Printmaking Institute at Lafayette College, Easton, PA since 2001. Miller has curated artist book exhibitions, taught workshops in Mexico, Costa Rica, and at colleges in NY, PA, and NJ. She has been granted residencies at the Vermont Studio Center and Virginia Center for Creative Arts. In 2013, She established her own imprint, Lucia Press. Publications from Lucia Press have been placed or will be in special collections at Skillman Library, Lafayette College, Alexander Library, Rutgers, Swarthmore College, University of Maryland, Stanford University, and Bryn Mawr College. She has collaborated with many artists and poets, including Nikky Finney, Marilyn Nelson, and David C. Driskell./ Miller’s artist’s books are in the National Museum of Women in the Arts among other special collections. She has exhibited internationally. Her serigraphs are in the corporate portfolio at the Printmaking Center of NJ. Miller continues working on a group of monotypes on the themes of genetics and science and a new manuscript of poems about misdiagnoses.
